"Not in My Country" Campaign Makes a Powerful Impact in Tanzania

Courage Worldwide's "Not In My..." campaigns spurred a flood of activity across cities, schools, prisons, and countries when the campaigns were first launched near the start of the organization's work with survivors of child sex trafficking. Now, 15 years later, the campaign is seeing an impressive resurgence in Tanzania, thanks to a revitalization of the message of the campaign spurred on by Courage Worldwide, IOM Tanzania, and Tanzania Network Against Human Trafficking (TANAHUT).

The kickoff event, held at Tumaini University in Dar es Salaam, highlighted the serious issue of trafficking within the country and the campaign's intent to promote greater movement toward tackling the issue.
