Recently, Courage Worldwide was featured in a MyNews4 story examining sex trafficking in Nevada and the complex realities survivors face in our state. The report sheds light on recent investigations into suspected trafficking operations in Northern Nevada and highlights the ongoing tension between legal brothels in rural counties and illegal exploitation happening in our communities.

In the story, our CEO, Jenny Williamson, shares an important truth: trafficking rarely begins with abduction by strangers. It often starts with grooming, manipulation, and betrayal by someone a young person knows and trusts. That relational trauma is what makes true restoration so critical.

At Courage, we see this reality every day. Through Courage House and our long-term restorative programs, we provide more than shelter — we provide safety, stability, therapy, education, and a path toward healing for girls who have experienced child sex trafficking. While headlines focus on investigations and arrests, we remain focused on what happens after rescue: rebuilding identity, restoring dignity, and walking alongside each survivor for the long term.

Your partnership makes this work possible. When the community turns its attention to trafficking, we are grateful — but it is your consistent support that allows us to meet each girl with the individualized, trauma-informed care she deserves.

Thank you for standing with us in the fight against child sex trafficking and in the lifelong journey of restoration.
