Hello, my name is "Tricia.” I have been at Courage for five years. I am studying law at university and my dream is to be a lawyer, and am happy that I can see a way for me to become one.
In my life I have had so many changes, because me now is not the me of before. Before I used to do things like having sex with people for money, I had a high temper, bad behavior and talked to people as if they were nothing compared to me and didn’t care if they were older than me or younger than me. I was stealing from people in order to survive and didn’t want to study anymore because life was really hard for me. My mother was there but didn’t have anything to do. Our life was so messy. I never believed in God and anything about God because if God was there and sees everything why was I suffering. But one day God did something for me by bringing me to Courage, and ever since, my life started to change. I became someone who believes in God and who loves to study because I have a future. My behavior changed and I am now healed. My life has become a testimony. I am so thankful that Courage found me. They give me a place to call home, a family that I once never had, and the courage to be me. I am studying law so I can become lawyer so I can help and be a voice for women and children. I am so happy and thankful to be part of the family of Courage House.
